Simon Field MW: Bright with a lively mousse and mouth-filling texture. Attractive nose of peach, frangipane and brioche with very enticing match struck notes. The palate is tight, spicy and with elegant orchard fruit integrity, while keeping that lovely smokiness. Subtle resonance and finely judged finish.
Tim Hall: Very enticing match struck notes; all smoke and lead me on. Mouth-filling volume and body and impressive cellaring notes. Good.
Anne Krebiehl MW: Smoky reduction and buttery richness meet on the nose. The palate comes in with more ease than the nose suggests but keeps that lovely smokiness. The very core holds lovely, ripe plum fruit and subtle resonance as well as length.
